Honolulu police say a man was arrested for kidnapping and abuse of a household member after  they left a Super Bowl party in Waianae on Sunday.

It happened at around 7:15 p.m.

A 30-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman left the party together.  When the man walked to the woman's vehicle, police say he assaulted her, forced her into her vehicle and drove the woman to an unknown location.

The man was arrested just before 8 a.m. on Monday.
