Kauai officials released a list of tsunami holding areas Saturday night.

Kauai residents in coastal areas and/or tsunami inundation zones are asked to evacuate immediately due to the tsunami warning.  Anyone who does not need to evacuate is asked to stay off the roadways. 

Holding areas are open at the following locations:

• Eleele School
• Kapaa Elementary School
• Kapaa Middle School
• Kapaa High School
• Kauai High School
• King Kaumualii Elementary School - FULL
  
• Koloa School - FULL
  
• Kalaheo Elementary
  
• Waimea High School
  
• Wilcox Elementary School
  

As of 10:07 p.m., Kauai officials say

the King Kaumualii Elementary School holding area is full.  People in the Lihue and Hanamaulu area should go to Wilcox Elementary School if they need to be in a holding area.

Holding areas will be able to provide temporary shelter and use of bathrooms through the duration of the warning period.
