Houghtailing House Fire

HONOLULU -

Honolulu fire investigators are looking into what caused a Kalihi home to go up in flames Sunday morning.

The home on Houghtailing Street was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived just before 1 a.m., according to fire officials.

Two adults and five children were in the house at the time of the fire.

Two family members were able to escape through the front door.  They went back to help their other family members escape from bedroom windows.

No one was injured and there was no damage to neighboring homes.

The Red Cross is assisting the family with food, clothing and shelter.
