The Honolulu Medical Examiner's office released the identity of the murder victim found in Kailua on Thursday.

He was 29-year-old William M. Fallau of Kaneohe.

The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the back of the neck.

Police are investigating how his body ended up at Kawainui State Park Reserve.
