Lawmakers discuss agricultural inspections
Creepy crawlers, slithery snakes and noisy frogs took over at the State Capitol on Friday.
It was part of a briefing by the Senate Energy and Environment Committee.
Live animals on display included exotic creatures like a ball python, a bearded dragon, and Madagascar hissing cockroaches.
The committee met to discuss beefing up agricultural inspections. They say invasive species are the single greatest threat to Hawaii's environment, agriculture and health.
