Two hikers found a body at Kawainui State Park Reserve around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, according to police.
Honolulu police have not been able to identify the body, but say it is a male between 18 to 25 years old.
Police don’t know the cause of death but say the person suffered trauma to the head and face.
"It looks like he sustained severe trauma to the cheek and eyes," said Capt. Lester Hites of the Honolulu Police Department.
Police need your help in identifying the man. He was wearing a black t -shirt, white shorts and black sneakers. If you can identify this person you are asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.
The medical examiner is expected to conduct an autopsy Friday.
