HONOLULU -

The Honolulu Zoo Society is holding a Haiku poetry contest through March 22, to help name Moxy’s three lion cubs at the Honolulu Zoo, which were born in December of 2012.

Children ages 8 to 13 are invited to enter their best lion inspired haiku for a chance to choose a name for one of the three lion cubs.

Entries will be accepted in three different age categories: 8-9 years, 10-11 years and 12-13 years.  One winner per age group will be selected and eligible to pick a name for one cub from a list of names provided by the Honolulu zookeepers.

All entries must received by March 22, 2013 to be eligible to win.  Entries should be mailed to HZS Education at the Honolulu Zoo: 151 Kapahulu Ave., Honolulu, HI. 96815.  For complete rules and entry form, please visit www.honoluluzoo.org.
