A 14-year-old boy was looking forward to his "bucket list" of things to do has lost his battle with cancer.

Tiloi "Teejay" Mamea, Jr. died Friday morning, according to his family.

Friday was Teejay Mamea day in Hawaii's schools.  Moanalua High School sophomore Whitney Kim organized the event asking students to bring a dollar to school to help Mamea fulfill his bucket list.

Mamea was last enrolled at Waipahu Intermediate School, but he spent most of his last years at Dole Middle School.  On Friday, Dole had classes to help teens cope with the loss of their friend.

Mamea was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer in March.  He decided to forgo further treatment and enjoy his family and life.

He came up with a bucket list of things to do:  visiting Alaska, meeting Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and go to New York to eat pizza.

Mamea had already fulfilled some of his bucket list.  He went to Disneyland last month, and this week he met his grandfather in American Samoa for the first time.
