Fireworks shows are great. But, we also have a list of other Independence Day celebration events across the state on July 4. Some events courtesy of GoVisitHawaii.com.
10 a.m. - Kailua July 4th parade sponsored by the Kailua Chamber of Commerce. Starts at Kainalu Drive at Omao Street, continues on Kainalu and ends at Kailua Intermediate School.
9:30 a.m., 2 pm. - Ewa July 4 Train Ride
9 a.m. - Makawao 4th of July Parade & Rodeo. Parade starts at the lower end of Baldwin Avenue, up Makawao Avenue, and ends at the Eddie Tam Center.
1 p.m. - Fourth of July Hawaiian Flower Shower. The Westin Ka'anapli Ocean Resort Villas has a unique flowerworks display. 60,000 orchids will be dropped from a helicopter showering guests with flowers. There's also a Fourth of July Carnival at the resort from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
5:30 p.m. - July 4th Concert In The Park featuring the Maui Community Band performing patriotic music and Hawaiian music.
9 a.m. - 50th Annual July 4th Horse Races and Rodeo at Parker Ranch.
