Early Wednesday morning KITV4 News This Morning reported that Hanauma Bay would be closed due to some repairs, but has since learned that it is now open.

The Department of Parks and Recreation will close the bay next week on Wednesday, Dec. 5 and Thursday, Dec. 6 while crews resurface the main public parking lot.

That includes all scenic lookouts in the preserve.

The bay will reopen on Friday, Dec. 7.
