UPDATED 2:32 PM HST Jan 07, 2013
The state Department of Health announced Monday about 3,500 gallons of wastewater entered Waikele Stream, which empties into West Loch at Pearl Harbor.
Health officials say residential grease caused a manhole to overflow on Awamoi Street in Waipahu.
Warning signs have been posted and water samples will be taken. The public is advised to stay out of Waikele Stream.
