The White House announced President Barack Obama and his family will leave Washington Friday night for a Christmas holiday in Hawaii.

The president is set to arrive at Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu very early Saturday morning.

The arrival of Air Force One is closed to the public.  The White House says the president and the First Lady will attend the memorial service for the late Senator Daniel Inouye at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl Sunday morning.
