Honolulu firefighters responded to a brush fire at Campbell Industrial Park on Friday.

Authorities said they were called to the blaze about 3 p.m. The fire was located near Malakoa Street and Kalaeloa Boulevard. 

Witnesses said they saw a huge plume of smoke coming for the area. 

Fire officials said the fire ignited in an empty lot. 

There was no immediate word on whether the fire was threatening any property.
