Maui County fire officials said a two-story wooden structure at the Hotel Molokai was heavily damaged by fire Tuesday morning.
Crews found the bottom floor of the structure 75 percent engulfed in flames on arrival around 3:30 a.m.
The hotel's kitchen, laundry room and storage area was in the building.
The fire was called under control at 5:40 a.m. No injuries were reported.
Damage is estimated at $650,000: $250,000 for the structure and $400,000 for its contents.
After an investigation the cause of the fire is undetermined and considered accidental.
