The Red Cross is helping a family of six after a fire destroyed their Pearl City home Friday afternoon.
Crews were called to Hoolauna Street at around 12:45 p.m.
Fire officials say smoke and fire was coming out of three sides of the home when firefighters arrived.
The fire was extinguished in about an hour.
Three people were home at the time of the blaze and all of them escaped without injury.
A preliminary investigation shows the fire appeared to start in a bedroom.
Damage to the home and its contents is estimated at $400,000.
