Fire destroys Foster Village home

HONOLULU -

A fire destroyed a home in Foster Village Wednesday afternoon, according to Honolulu fire officials.

Crews responded to Kukila Street at around 5:30 p.m.   Firefighters say the home was engulfed in flames when they arrived.

Thick, black smoke covered the sky and flames shot up in the air.

There were no reported injuries.

The fire was under control by 5:55 p.m.
