Fire crews responded to the Hawaii School for the Deaf and the Blind in Kapahulu Friday morning because of an unknown odor.
The first call came in just before 9:45 a.m.
One school official said a counselor and a speech language teacher left because of the unknown smell. One of them is pregnant and the other was breastfeeding.
Fire crews left by 10:30 a.m. Officials say although the source of the smell was never found, there was a possibility it was the insecticide malathion.
