The Board of Water Supply says there was a 12-inch water main break that was causing major problems in Ewa Wednesday.

The main broke at around 1:30 a.m. on Karayan Street near Fort Weaver Road.

The Board of Water Supply says 25 residents in the area were without water.  Zippy's and one other complex near the Ewa Villages were also without water.

Karayan Street was closed between Fort Weaver Road and Lako Street.  The street was reopened at around 5 p.m.
