Dangerous surf warning extended for Oahu

Large northwest swell to continue into Tuesday morning

A high surf warning has been extended for the north and west-facing shores of Oahu.

The Department of Emergency Management says a large northwest swell will continue to produce dangerous surf throughout Monday night and into Tuesday morning.  The warning is in effect until 6 a.m.

The warning was issued Monday morning for exposed north and west-facing shores of most of the Hawaiian Island chain.
