Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve Park remains closed to the public Sunday.  The City has closed the bay since 9 a.m. Saturday due to high and dangerous surf.

Officials say 4 to 6 foot surf has created strong rip currents inside the reef making it very hazardous for swimmers and snorkelers.   There is also very low visibility underwater.

Ocean safety officials will reassess the bay Monday morning.
