Firefighters respond to building fire in Chinatown
Honolulu firefighters spent a little more than an hour putting out a three-alarm fire in Chinatown that broke out just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The fire started in an office space between Nu'uanu Avenue and Pauahi Street.
The fire was mostly contained to an employee storage and locker area.
Fire officials say there were no report of injuries. It appears that the office was unoccupied when the fire started.
There was no significant structural damage to the building.
Damage was estimated at $100,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials say it was not arson.
