Court documents reveal that Big Island police have surveillance video that was used to arrest and charge two Kurtistown men for the murder of a missing man.
Dante Peter Gilman, 44, was reported missing on Jan. 10.
According to court documents, an altercation took place at Gilman's residence on Dec. 28, 2012 involving three male suspect who confronted Gilman.
The video appeared to show Claude Keone Krause, 30, with a rifle shooting Gilman, according to the arrest report. Court papers also say another man, Kawena Krause, 19, appeared to put Gilman in a choke hold until Gilman's body went limp.
The third male, who appeared to be a minor, was present during the incident.
The Krauses were in a Hilo courtroom on Tuesday for their initial court appearance.
They were charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, second-degree theft and use of a firearm in the commission of a separate felony. Claude Krause was also charged with two counts of ownership/possession of a firearm prohibited.
Big Island police have not yet found Gilman's body.
The Krauses remain in police custody without bail.
