Information is being sought by the Coast Guard after a blue kayak was found floating near Menehune Shores in Kihei Saturday.

There was no sign of a kayaker.

The Coast Guard reports the kayak was found with a milk crate, a computer bag with old food, a bicycle helmet, and a plastic fishing float.  But, no one was found near the kayak.

An urgent marine information broadcast was issued to see if any mariners in the area can identify the kayak. And if you may know -- call the Guard's Honolulu Command Center at 842-2600.
