The Coast Guard is asking for the public's help in the case of a possible distressed diver.
At about 8:39 a.m. Thursday, the Coast Guard received a report of an adrift dirve flag and cooler containing fish about 1.5 nautical miles southeast of Diamond Head.
The missing equipment has not been correlated to a missing person report and is suspected to have originated along the reef line between Diamond Head and Hawaii Kai.
In the past, the public has help the Coast Guard avoid unnecessary searches.
