Nightclub brawl involves NFL player, club owner
Redskins offensive lineman Trent Williams was on the sideline during Sunday's Pro Bowl game at Aloha Stadium.
He told ESPN a whack to the head kept him out of the game, and left him with a seven-stitch cut and possible concussion.
Honolulu police charged 38-year-old M Nightclub owner Michael Miske Junior with second-degree assault on Sunday.
"We're confident Mr. Miske will be cleared of all charges and we look forward to fighting this case in court," said his attorney Tom Otake.
Miske claimed NFL players and their entourage were harassing customers and smoking pot.
He said his staff kicked them out, triggering several fights outside.
"Unfortunately as we all know professional athletes don't always act professionally," said Otake.
Miske said he didn't hit Williams or anyone else.
There's a cut over his left eye in a weekend mug shot, and he said he was the one who was blindsided by someone.
Several news organizations have reported the NFL fined Williams only weeks ago for punching another player on the field, and for failing drugs tests in recent years.
