Palisades Elementary School went into lockdown Thursday morning, according to school officials.

A burglary suspect was alleged to have broken into a nearby home at around 10:30 a.m., according to police.

Officers arrested one male suspect.  A second male suspect ran into the bushes.

Lockdowns are part of the standard procedures for schools when police are investigating nearby.
