The biggest names in surfing gathered on Oahu's north shore to pay tribute to legendary surfer Eddie Aikau. Contest organizers hope this is the year the big waves roll in for the international event... The who's who of surfing...Kelly slater 11 time world champion ... NATS 21:00 CLAPPING to honor Eddie Aikau who died in 1978 when the ill fated canoe hokulea capsized. Eddie swam to seek help for stranded crew members but was never seen again.
