The Board of Water Supply crews were on the scene of a broken water inlet valve at the intersection of Kamakee Street and Kawaiahao Street Friday.
Crews got to the scene at around 11:30 a.m.
A Grace Pacific workers say they were repaving the road when they noticed the water coming out of the road.
One condominium and seven businesses were without water. A water wagon ws set up at the intersection.
Crews were working on a bypass for the condo. As soon as that happens, repairs to the inlet valve will be made.
One lane on Kawaiahao Street was closed but at there was at least one lane of traffic open in each direction.
The Board of Water Supply hopes to repair the pipe by 6 p.m.
