Honolulu police say a 38-year-old man was arrested after an alleged sexual assault in waters off Waikiki Beach.

It happened at around 5:15 p.m. Monday about 20 yards from shore, according to the Honolulu Police Department Facebook post.

Police say the suspect approached two females and offered to give them free surfing lessons.  After taking them out a short distance on his surfboard, the females say he made inappropriate contact with them.

The man was arrested without incident for sexual assault in the third degree.
