Three men were arrested Wednesday after a robbery at a Wailuku convenience store, according to Maui County police.

Investigators say two men, ages 24 and 25, entered the Minit Stop store at the corner of Main Street and Central Avenue at around 6:50 a.m.  They were wearing hooded sweaters and masks.

One of the men had what appeared to be a semi-automatic pistol.  The other man was carrying a pipe, according to police.

The men demanded money from the cashiers and threatened customers in the store, according to the police report.  They ran from the store after they heard police sirens.

The men ran toward Waiale Drive on Nani Street.  A third man, 23, who was a lookout and getaway driver fled in a gray Nissan pickup.

Officers were able to catch the two suspected robbers in front of the Nani Street Apartments.  The weapons used in the robbery were also recovered.

The man who fled in the Nissan truck was stopped by officers on Honoapiilani Highway near the Carl's Jr.  The truck was seen speeding and cutting in and out of traffic while heading toward Lahaina.

No injuries were reported.
