WAILUKU, Hawaii -

Two people on an inflatable raft were rescued near Maui's McGregor Point lookout after their boat lost power.

Maui rescue units located the disabled boat late Tuesday afternoon as it drifted south toward Kahoolawe.

Officials say the boat, which was a 15-foot inflatable with a rigid-type hull, lost engine power about one mile south of the scenic lookout.  There were two men, both in their 20s, on the boat. Officials say they were in good condition.

A rescue unit towed the boat to Maalaea harbor.
