2 men hospitalized in Keaaumoku stabbings

Man, 27, in critical condition

HONOLULU -

Honolulu police are investigating the stabbings of two men at the McDonald's on Keeaumoku Street Friday morning.

It happened just before 4:30 a.m.

Police say there was an altercation between two groups of people in the part of the parking lot closer to Sheridan Street.  The fight then moved to the Keeaumoku Street side of the parking lot.

After the stabbings, the groups dispersed.

"He looked at the guys.  I guess he didn't like 'em," said witness Tony Castro.  "Grabbed his knife out and started making trouble.  The guy said put 'em down.  The guy said, 'Brah, you better move to the side," and that when I seen the guy just whack the kid and I just booked."

A 27-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were hospitalized in the incident, according to Emergency Medical Services officials.

At last check, the 27-year-old man was in critical condition. The 22-year-old man was in serious condition.

Police are still looking for the stabbing suspect.
