Honolulu Ocean Safety officials say 145 people were stung by box jellyfish in Waikiki Thursday. Lifeguards counted 118 box jellyfish in the area.
Lifeguards at Ala Moana Beach Park counted 15 box jellyfish and no stings, as of 3 p.m.
Box jellyfish warning signs have been up since Wednesday at Ala Moana and Waikiki.
