Hawaii Electric Light Company said in a news release that it will move its customer information center to Leilani Estates Community Center on Aug. 16.
The facility is located at 13-3441 Moku St. in lower Puna, according to the release. It will be open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Rhea Lee, a spokeswoman for Hawaii Electric Light, said the company wants to reach out to customers who are in areas still without power as it continues to restore service in upper Puna.
“We know our customers want to know more about the work that’s being done to recover from this devastating storm,” Lee said. “We appreciate their patience and want to assure them we’re working safely and as quickly as possible to restore power.”
The news release indicated company representatives will be on hand to answer questions and give status updates on Tropical Storm Iselle damage.
