Hawaii surfer and model Jill Hansen pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a charge of second-degree attempted murder.
Hansen appears before a judge via closed circuit television from the Oahu Community Correctional Center.
Before the pre-trial hearing, Hansen wasn't allowed to talk to the videographer, but she didn't shy away from the camera.
She could receive a lengthy sentence if convicted, but on this morning she was more concerned about the length of the proceedings. She repeatedly asked the corrections officers, "Excuse me, how long is this going to take?"
Police believe the 30-year-old woman followed 73-year-old Elizabeth Conklin into the parking garage at the Diamond Head Apartments on May 14. They believe she ran into Conklin with her car causing injuries.
Trial is set for July. Bail is set at $1 million.
