In order to become a member of the Heavenly's Avalanche Rescue Dog Team, Truckee had to pass his final test.

He may not have the size of a St. Bernard, but he is incredibly talented and well-trained by his handler Chris Child.

The test was given in Lake Tahoe, California where Truckee is seen smelling and pulling out the "mock victims" with extreme urgency.

Not bad for a rookie black lab.
