'The Bachelorette' Insider Week 8 Recap
KITV4 would like to introduce you to our in-house expert on "The Bachelorette," Lauren Wang. During the day, she works in our sales department, but on the nights when "The Bachelorette" is airing, she is glued to the television set. She will keep you up-to-date with the show and give you some inside scoops on what is happening with the Bachelorette herself, Emily Maynard.
Week 8 Recap - 7/3/2012
This was by far my FAVORITE episode yet. All of the guys have wonderful families and I can see why they are all such great guys.
Chris and Chi-town were up first. I love Chicago; it is one of my favorite cities. I like that Chris kept apologizing for his childish behavior (hello, he should have, he was so immature). He was truly sorry and he was obviously very embarrassed. I think Emily did forgive him for his behavior but it still comes down to the fact that they don’t have the strong, lasting connection like she has with the other guys. When they hug or kiss, it’s not intense enough. Chris did have a close-knit family and they seemed very protective over him (I thought that was super sweet). I know Emily was impressed by Chris’s family but, when they said goodbye, the spark just wasn’t there.
Jef’s ranch was stunning. I couldn’t even believe how beautiful it was! Emily was blown away too! I loved that she pretended she didn’t know how to shoot a gun (very clever). Jef really does take the time and effort to plan things ahead and he does fun things for Emily. I adore that about him. Jef’s siblings were hard on Emily but, in the end, I could see that they really liked her. And, more importantly, they really liked her for Jef. They even said that they think their parents would really like her, which is obviously huge. Jef’s letter was the sweetest things I have ever heard in my life. He is such an amazing guy and I can’t even believe that someone was able to write such sweet words. His feelings are real and I truly think they have potential to make this work.
I liked that Arie took Emily to the race track. It was so cute to see them race together! Arie was so nervous about her meeting his family (Especially his mother. He said that like five times. Yikes! Holy monster-in-law!) and for obvious reasons. There were definitely some cultural differences and his mom was a tough cookie! But, I think Arie’s mother ended up really liked Emily, so that’s a good thing! But, I still don’t know if I see Emily AND Ricki fitting in with his family. I hope I’m wrong though because I do like Arie. And I think out of three, they have the most intense physical connection.
Sean’s family was absolutely PERFECT, just like him (I have a huge smile right now). Although, that prank was super mean of him! And totally believable -- I mean he made that room really looks like his (haha I loved the crumbs everywhere and all of the stuffed animals)! Emily’s face was priceless! She took it well though. I would have killed him if he pulled a joke like that on me! Sean’s family was so welcoming and warm. I can really see Emily and Ricki fitting in well with them. I love how romantic Sean is. I swear all of his gestures are just so sweet and he really knows how to make a girl feel special!
Before the rose ceremony, Emily talked to Chris Harrison and teared up a little. I think it’s so hard at this point because she has developed feelings for each of them. She made the right decision to send Chris home, but I felt bad for him. I think that he was more into it than she was. He kept wanting answers and she really didn’t have any. Poor Chris got his heart broken but it just wasn’t mean to be.
Her final three guys are SO strong, and I really can’t say who I think she should end up with, they are all so great! Next week will be even tougher for her; she will narrow her final three guys to just two! So make sure to watch next Monday at 7 p.m. AND also don’t forget to talk to me on Twitter at #bachelorettehi!
XOXO~Lauren
