'Bachelor Pad' Recap - Week 7
Lauren J. Wang is our in-house expert on everything to do with "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette." And now, she's changing gears and following the "Bachelor Pad." She will keep you up-to-date with the show and give you some inside scoops on what is happening from behind the scenes.
Week 7 Recap - 9/4/2012
I hope all if you watched last night's episode of "Bachelor Pad" because, in my opinion, it was the best episode of the season.
The remaining eight contestants had to compete in TWO challenges. During the first challenge, the ex-bachelors and bachelorettes had to answer questions about the current season and past seasons of "Bachelor Pad." If they got an answer wrong, their partner, who was hoisted in the air by ropes on a platform, had a string cut off.
Eventually after the strings were cut off, there was a bar that the guy or gal had to hold on to. Once they let go and hit the water though, they were eliminated. Tony and Blakeley were the first to go and Sarah and Chris ended up winning the competition.
Since they won, they had the power to send one of the couples home. So it was bye bye to Tony and Blakeley (she irritates me and I seriously feel like every episode she was crying, holy emotional)! Thank goodness she’s not in the finals!
The next completion consisted of the remaining three couples in a theater with a rock band -- what could they be doing? Well, they had to sing "Sister Christian" (one of the best rock songs ever) in front of hundreds of fans! Each couple had a singing coach and they could only practice with them for one day. Then they had to perform in front of fans and judges (I would definitely FAIL at this competition, my voice is SO bad).
The guys and gals had pretty bad singing voices -- they couldn’t hit a note (Sarah was my favorite because she was just as bad as me). But at the end of the day, Nick and Rachel stole the show (surprisingly they both did really well). Jaclyn was seriously like watching a girls gone wild tape gone bad (I’m still laughing thinking about it haha, so embarrassing)!
Rachel and Nick had to make the toughest decision of the season; they had to choose one couple to go with them to the finals. Rachel had a hard time making this decision because she was so close to Jaclyn and felt loyalty to her. Nick persuaded her that Chris and Sarah should be the couple with them in the finals. This was obviously the best choice because no one likes Chris, and we all know next week when the remaining house votes on who should win, no one would vote for Chris and Sarah.
I felt bad for Jaclyn because she felt betrayed by Rachel but it’s a game. I do hope that they can build their friendship again because clearly Rachel regretted her decision and looking back this episode, Jaclyn can see that it was more Nick’s decision and not Rachel’s.
