Lauren J. Wang is our in-house expert on everything to do with "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette." And now, she's changing gears and following the "Bachelor Pad." She will keep you up-to-date with the show and give you some inside scoops on what is happening from behind the scenes.
Week 6 Recap - 8/28/2012
We found out last night that most of the final ten contestants on Bachelor Pad have a little trouble with….SPELLING. I’ll admit, I’m a terrible speller (hello spell check is my BFF) BUT I could spell a majority of the words that the guys and gals couldn’t last night! How embarrassing!
Ed and Jaclyn and Chris and Sarah ended up in sudden death after multiple rounds of the couples spelling their hearts out. Chris and Sarah ended up winning the first-ever Bachelor Pad spelling bee ruining the biggest alliance at the house.
Chris and Sarah enjoyed a beautiful overnight date. They went on a train ride and danced in a barn. I actually like them for some reason. I’m not sure if it’s just because they are the most hated in the house and sort of the "underdogs" or if I just like them as a couple.
I think Sarah is definitely starting to develop feelings (like every other girl on the show). I was pleasantly surprised that Chris was finally honest and really opened up that he was still heartbroken about Emily. He was the Chris we all saw on "The Bachelorette."
Jaclyn and Ed got the second one-on-one date because they came in second place at the spelling bee competition. I felt so bad because during their date, Ed admitted that he was still interested in someone back home. Jaclyn was obviously devastated. But Ed somehow used his words to persuade her to stay overnight and for her and him to continue as is. I hate how guys can do that! Jaclyn is going to keep continuing to get hurt because obviously her feelings are stronger than his. And ultimately she wants something more. I do like them, as partners, though, so I hope that they can make it to the final two.
Jaclyn and Ed were given a lot of power after their date. They had to pick one couple to save from elimination at the rose ceremony. Everyone was sucking up to them and giving them reasons as to why they should save them. They ended up saving Tony and Blakeley, which wasn’t really surprising.
Rachel has officially become the most annoying girl on Bachelor Pad. It’s like play the game or go home! She is constantly crying and I just feel like telling her to suck it up and go for it. Even though I don’t like Nick, it’s not fair to him. And he even said his partner is a "widow." That is such a true statement!
I thought that Nick and Rachel were going to be sent home but I was wrong. Kalon and Lindzi ended up getting eliminated. And it was very sweet to see Kalon in a different element…just as both limos were pulling away from the mansion, Kalon jumped out of his limo and into Lindzi’s. I was impressed! I heard that they are still together and going strong. Good for them!
