Season 19 of "Dancing With The Stars" on Monday, Sept. 15. But, before that, the pros have been taking the show on the road in "Ballroom With A Twist."
"We do play a lot of games with the audience, we interact, we have our Q-and-A. So, it's not like where people come in and have to sit for two hours. No, we make them dance!" said Karina Smirnoff.
"What makes it special is it's for many different generations for your entire family to come and enjoy together," said Val Chmerkovskiy. "I think everybody has a blast!"
Just back from their Seattle gig -- Tony Dovolani, Karina Smirnoff, Val Chmerkovskiy and Sharna Burgess -- joined the KITV4 Morning Show.
Cheryl Burke and Val's brother, Maks, were absent. With his mug nowhere on the list, rumors are flying that he's off of Season 19. But, the pros say what they've created has left a lasting legacy.
"All of us travel and do charity work constantly because dance bring smiles to people and that's the best healing you could ever have," said Dovolani.
"Dancing has always been a very healthy activity, no only physically, but for your mind and soul. You see people come out of the dance studio happy. Tired in a good way," said Smirnoff. "So, this is one of the things we do during the show. We want the audience to get up and actually start moving with us because that gift, that passion for dancing is for all of us. We want to be able to share it with people that love the show and love 'Ballroom With A Twist' and, for us, it is the opportunity to do it."
You have two chances to check out "Ballroom With A Twist." It's on Tuesday and Wednesday night at the Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall. It starts on both nights at 7:30 p.m.
