A Big Island man accused in a double homicide WILL get a new lawyer as he requested. Sean Matsumoto is accused in the 2013 shooting death of his then girlfriend Rhonda Lynn Ahu and her 74-year old mother Elaine Ahu. According to the Hawaii Tribune Herald- Matsumoto told the judge that his attorney Jeff Ng doesn't believe in his innocence. Matsumoto also requested a change of venue, because he says his alleged victim is related to the Mayor. Matsumoto's trial is set to begin in December- if found guilty he faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison WITHOUT the possibility of parole.
