Trends & Talkers: Mad Over MolassesUPDATED 7:58 PM HST May 09, 2014Video Transcript
PAUSE FOR MUSIC Mad over molasses. Last night, we told you about how lawmakers haven't done much since the Matson spill and that has you talking tonight. The spill last fall prompted Hawaii lawmakers to introduce legislation designed to prevent a repeat performance. But, none of the bills survived the 2014 legislative session. On our facebook page, Opulento Kamai writes, "The environmental voters faith in politicians died when these bills died. The politicians are in matson's back pocket and let this disaster slide by!!" Terry Oyama adds, "They couldn't even decide on the ukulele as the official State Instrument. Not that we needed a State instrument." And Sussi Dahl says simply, "A bunch of do nothings!" We want to know what you think about lawmakers actions, or lack there of, on this issue. Head to facebook and share your thoughts with us. Paula?
