Earlier on this Kamehameha Day, dozens attended a ceremony at the king's statue in Honolulu. The goal was not just to remember the king, but to make sure his legacy stays alive. KITV 4's Cam Tran takes us to this morning's Kamehameha Day celebration. Through mele and oli , royal societies, civic groups and on-lookers pay their respects to King Kamehameha the Great, who united the Hawaiian islands. Each of the royal orders came together and presented a gift to pay homage to the great alii.
