$15 million dollars DOWN -- and "Phase One" nearly DONE -- in the state's nearly $750 million dollar airport rennovation project. Crews are wrapping up work on a new 114-thousand square foot facility at Honolulu International Airport. The work for Aloha Air Cargo broke ground LAST May... The company footed the bill -- to not only REBUILD -- but upgrade its fleet. An important part: replacing five, 30 year-old refrigerator containers -- with a 66- thousand cubic foot cooling center. MIKE 1248-53 WE'RE ANXIOUS OBVIOUSLY. IT'S A LITTLE CHAOTIC HERE, BUT WE'RE DEFINATELY HERE TO RECIEVE OUR CUSTOMERS, SO WE'RE LOOKNIG FORWARD TO THAT. This weekend, Aloha Air Cargo will make its final transition from its old facility to the new one -- and be operating by Sunday. Construction is already underway for the next phase: Hawaiian Airlines is building its new hangar -- along with a 700 stall parking lot. And the old Aloha Air Cargo buildings will be LEVELED -- and cleared for an expanded taxiway at the airport.
