The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there is no threat of a tsunami following an earthquake off of the Pacific island of Vanuatu Saturday afternoon.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck about 50 miles north-west of Isangel, Tanna, Vanuatu at 12:05 p.m. Hawaii time.

There were no immediate reports of damage to the island nation.
