Faces of the Civil War

On April 12, 1861 the Civil War began.  In remembrance of the soldiers who served in the American Civil War, the U.S. Library of Congress put together a collection of photographs that represents the impact of the war, which involved many young enlisted men and the deaths of more than 600,000 soldiers.
