70- thousand dollars. New tonight-- THIS mothers day marks the 15-year anniversary of tragedy at Sacred Falls state Park. In 1999 a massive rockslide killed 8 hikers and injured 50 others--- permanently closing Sacred Falls. Despite the posted warning signs, there has been a recent spike in trespassing citations--- 30 have been issued from March to April alone. The Department of Land and Natural Resources wants to remind everyone that the park is closed AND STILL very dangerous. A trespassing citation can cost you 100-dollars AND up to 10- thousand dollars for repeat violations.
