Kauai lifeguards will decide on Monday morning whether to reopen a stretch of coastline after a shark was spotted in the area.

Kauai Ocean Safety officials closed Kaena Beach Park near Tunnels Beach on the North Shore on Sunday.

The beach is near the surf spot where surfer Bethany Hamilton lost an arm when she was attacked by a shark in October 2003.
