2006 HONOLULU -- TV reality star Duane "Dog" Chapman was released from jail on Friday on $300,000 bail.He is facing charges in his 2003 capture of a convicted rapist in Mexico.Chapman and two co-stars on the popular A&E show "Dog The Bounty Hunter" were freed by a federal magistrate after being locked up for a day and a-half.U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry Kurren said he allowed bail for Chapman, his son Leland Chapman and an associate because he didn't see them as being a flight risk. The three are required to wear electronic monitoring devices until they return to court for extradition hearings to face trial in Mexico.Reporters and fans packed the courtroom, and several supporters held signs outside the Honolulu federal courthouse saying, "Let go our hero."Chapman wasn't the only one in front of a judge on Friday. His wife, Beth, also had some explaining to do after federal marshals caught her wearing a body microphone in court on Thursday.Electronic and recording devices are banned in federal court.Beth Chapman told the judge that she regularly wears the microphone while taping the "Dog the Bounty Hunter" TV show and forgot to take it off before walking into court. The judge considered banning Beth Chapman from future court proceedings, but ended up accepting her explanation and let her go with a stern warning.
