Dillon Lepolo, Julius Mitchell and Lugavai Momoe appear in court on second-degree murder charges.
Three men accused of beating a bicyclist to death in Waianae were indicted for murder on Tuesday and were ordered held on bail at $500,000 to $1 million.

Roger Haudenshild, 47, died 10 days ago from a severe beating.

Prosecutors said that Dillon Lepolo, 22, brought Lugavai Momoe, 32, and Julius Mitchell, 35, to attack Haudenshild.

Prosecutors asked for bail of $500,000 for Lepolo and Momoe and $1 million for Mitchell, who is a convicted felon.

"Community members have come forward to state that they are intimidated by the brutality by the severity of the savage beating that occurred right in front of Waianae Market," Deputy Prosecutor Kathy Kealoha said.

Haudenshild died of a heart attack due to both the brutality of the beating and the emotional stress, prosecutors said.
